Ffion
Baby Room Team Leader and Nursery Manager

Ffion joined our team full time in 2016 after being placed with us as part of her Early Childhood Studies degree at The University of Chester. Ffion holds a Level 5 NVQ qualification in Children's Care, Learning and Development and uses her extensive knowledge of the early years to lead our Baby Room team. As a mother herself, Ffion understands the importance of care, nurture and support during a child's first years. Ffion is also one of our Deputies in Charge, DSL and supports personal development throughout the nursery.

Nicola
Baby Room Deputy Team Leader

Since joining the nursery in 2021, Nicola has gained her Level 2 Early Years practitioner qualification, and is currently completing her Level 3. Nicola has gained invaluable experience working across vast age ranges, from the very young to the elderly. This experience has influenced Nicola's practice and she always aims to care, nurture and support the children in her care. Nicola's experience in theatre and her degree in Performing Arts is evident through her bubbly personality and flare for the dramatics, especially when singing nursery rhymes. Nicola has a huge passion for learning and teaching and is always looking at new ways to develop for knowledge in childrens development.

Claire
Nursery Practitioner

Claire joined our team in August 2022, She hold a Level 2 NVQ in Childcare and Early Years and is currently completing her Level 3 Early Years Educator qualification. Claire has worked with children for over twenty years and loves being with our youngest children, having cuddles and watching them grow and progress. Claire has knowledge in Makaton and uses it to support some of our youngest children in aiding their communication. Claire has two grown up daughters of her own and this year became a Nanny to her first grandchild. Outside of nursery, Claire likes going for dog walks and visiting her local coffee shop.

Emma
Nursery Practitioner

Emma has been a part of our team since 2012 and holds a Level 5 NVQ in Children's care, Learning and Development. She has a keen interest in Hygge and how these principals can influence early development. Emma also runs our Holiday club, Badgers Jett Sett, in the school holidays. Over the years she has worked in childcare, Emma has gained experience working with children with SEND and has used this experience to work closely with our SENCO team. Outside of nursery, Emma has been a Scout for six years and now runs the local Squirrels club.

Sue
Nursery Practitioner

Sue has been a part of our nursery team since 2015. Sue holds her Level 3 NVQ in Childcare and after over 20 years of working in the sector, she has experience with all ages. With both children and grandchildren off her own, Sue loves to see the children in her care flourish. Sue loves the outdoors and gardening and likes incorporating nature into sensory activities for our youngest children. Outside of nursery, Sue is a keen photographer and enjoys drawing, painting and up cycling.

Repa
Nursery Apprentice

Repa joined the team in 2023 and is about to start her Level 2 apprenticeship. She loves baking and cooking and likes to support and inspire the children with her culinary skills, incorporating baking and preparing some of their own dishes day to day. Repa has two daughters of her own aged nine and eleven and likes watching Disney films with them.

Samantha
Nursery Apprentice

Samantha joined our team in 2023 in about to begin her Level 2 Apprentiship. Sam has a little boy of her own and loves taking him on adventures.

Kathy
Nursery Practitoner

Kathy joined the team in 2023 on a placement as part of her Masters in Developmental and Therapeutic Play and has carried on working in baby room now she has completed her studies. A former Primary and Early Years teacher Kathy has been teaching for over 12 years and spent 10 of those teaching overseas in an International School in Thailand. She is passionate about the importance of play for learning and development and enjoys thinking of new activities to spark imaginative play. Outside of work Kathy enjoys keeping fit by rowing with Royal Chester Rowing Club and doing DIY on her new house.
