Our curriculum follows the Early Years Foundation Stage, a framework set out by the department of education, which recognises the overall nature of development and learning at this age.
There is an emphasis on children learning through interaction with people and exploring the world around them. EYFS identifies the individuality, efforts and achievements of children and recognises that learning and development take place during each different activity, encouraging them to be lifelong learners and allowing them to develop to their full potential.
Our day care nursery offers a wide variety of experiences so that your child can develop emotionally, socially, intellectually and physically. We combine play with education to develop pre-reading, language and literacy, numeracy work and many other skills essential in fulfilling the desirable learning outcomes essential for preschool learning.
Activities are planned for all age groups to ensure a flexible and balanced curriculum with a combination of busy and quiet activities, indoor and outdoor play. From their first explorations in the baby unit through to Preschool where they will build on their foundations for school under the guidance of our experienced staff. The children are also actively encouraged to make their own choices and initiate their own play.
First and foremost we want your children to be happy in our nursery and hope that during their time with us their development will make the transition to school an enjoyable one.
